40% REDUCTION IN VIOLENCE? EARLY RESULTS POINT TO STRONG POTENTIAL FOR IMPACT
We received the first quantitative results from our pilot with 200 couples. While the study was not powered for statistical significance, the direction and magnitude of the effects are encouraging: listening to Season 1 of Twubakane was associated with a 6 percentage point reduction in physical or sexual violence compared to control. Relative to baseline prevalence (15% in control), this represents a 40% reduction in violence.
